Abstract

Coral is a unicellular organism that lives in colonies to form polyps, so coral transplantation is an effective way to grow coral reefs, even though it takes quite a long time, but this method is one of the right conservation efforts and needs to be carried out and socialized. The transplant program carried out by the Faculty of Fisheries UGR community members is the first activity in collaboration with POKMASWAS PETARANDO with the main funding contribution from CSR PLN Mataram Branch. Thus, the authors formulate the problem: 1. How is the rehabilitation of the PETARANDO conservation area carried out using the coral reef transplantation approach? 2. How is the long growth rate of acropora coral reefs in the PETARANDO conservation area? With this formulation of the problem, we want to know: 1 Results of the rehabilitation efforts of the PETARANDO conservation area through coral reef transplantation. 2. Long growth rate of actopor coral reefs. To answer the formulation of the problem, a qualitative descriptive method is used. The results of the transplant were as expected. The optimal growth rate of coral reef length was obtained.
